Chemistry

The study of chemistry develops critical thinking skills and is generally needed to succeed for any student who desires a career or employment in agriculture, medical fields, pharmacy, engineering or science. Others need some knowledge of this science to live and work in a world controlled by chemical substances. Students planning on attending a four year college or university should take chemistry. The two semester course includes the study of kinetic molecular theory, energy and states of matter, mixtures and compounds, the mole concept, the role of charge, chemical nomenclature, and stoichiometry.
